1. Getting to the portals is easy enough. The Blobs won't bother you since they can't move through stars.

2. If you feel like you simply must get those six extra stars, get all of the other pickles out of the level first and remember: the Blobs won't change direction unless they bump into a wall or each other, so be careful!
